Chomsky의 생성문법 이론의 기본개념 및 목표를 연구하여 현대 언어학의 관점에서 현재의 영문법을 고찰해 본다. 특히 가설설정, 논증을 통한 검증, 이론 정립의 단계적인 과정을 통하여 영어 문장 분석능력을 증진시켜 통사론 연구에 기초를 쌓게 한다. 또한 문법지식이 독해, 작문, 발음에 활용하도록 훈련한다. This course explores current English grammars with reference to Chomsky’s Generative Grammar Theory in modern linguistics. Also it improves students’ ability to analyze English sentences through the process of hypothesis, proof with reasoning, and theory formulation and trains students to use English grammar knowledge in reading, writing, and speaking. |

본 수업은 영미드라마의 다양한 예술적 표현을 이해하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 수업에서는 정치적, 사회적 문화적 배경, 작품의 공연 조건 등을 주요하게 다룰 것이다. 본 수업은 또한 학습자가 드라마를 읽고 볼 때 필요한 근본적인 기술을 갖추도록 구성되어 있다. This course aims to develop an appreciation for the various artistic expressions of English and American drama. Major emphasis will center around the political, social and cultural context and performance conditions of selected plays. 이 강좌는 해외학기제를 이수한 영어영문학전공 3학년 이상의 학생들을 위해 구성된 강좌로서 학생들이 해외학기제동안 미국 현지에서 체험하고 습득한 미국의 언어, 교육, 생활양식 등 미국문화 전반에 대해 심도 있는 연구와 발표를 통해 진행된다. 학생들은 연구주제를 부여받아 지도교수와 발표에 관해 사전 상담을 한 후 발표와 토론을 하게 되며, 지도교수의 수정을 통한 연구발표를 최종 연구결과로 제출한다.
